International Day of Persons with Disability proudly supported by the Sydney FC Foundation.

To celebrate the 2023 International Day of Persons with Disability event, Sydney FC Foundation welcomed 104 attendees to Allianz Stadium, giving participants the ultimate experience.

Attendees travelled from across Australia to take part in the day, with the youngest participant being 3 years of age, up to 58 years old.

Participants on the day were given the opportunity to see Allianz Stadium behind the scenes, getting changed into their Sydney FC kits in the change rooms, before being welcomed to rapturous applause by friends and families. Participants then took part in a range of different sporting activities on the Allianz Stadium arena.

Sydney FC Foundation’s Inclusive Programs Lead Jake Cohen said, “Events like this are so important for the Foundation in reaching the disability community and having an impact not only on the participants but also their friends and family.”

A participant on the day said “The experience made me feel like I was a real professional Sydney FC player.”

Sydney FC Foundation were excited to partner with Allianz Stadium, who allowed the day to be possible for all the participants and to give them an experience they will never forget.

Thank you to our partner Community Health Group for providing their fantastic support workers on the day to ensure all participants and families were well looked after and supported.
